The Next Chapter of Energy Infrastructure

The Next Chapter of Energy Infrastructure

By CitiGreen Inc. | Nov 05, 2025

The energy industry is entering a period of significant change.

For many years, federal incentives helped accelerate the adoption of commercial solar projects across the United States. As those programs evolve, businesses are once again being forced to focus on the fundamentals: reducing operating costs, improving energy resilience, and creating long-term value from their facilities.

At CitiGreen, we believe the future of energy extends far beyond traditional solar installations.

Over the past two decades, our team has helped develop more than $140 million in commercial energy projects throughout Northern California. While solar remains an important part of the energy landscape, today’s businesses are increasingly evaluating a broader range of solutions to meet their long-term energy goals.

Battery energy storage systems are helping facilities manage peak demand, improve energy reliability, and better utilize onsite generation. Electric vehicle charging infrastructure continues to expand as fleets and businesses prepare for increasing transportation electrification. Energy management and infrastructure planning are becoming critical components of facility operations.

At the same time, a new opportunity is emerging.

SolarH2 was established to develop solar-powered hydrogen production facilities designed to convert renewable energy into a transportable fuel. Rather than exporting electricity to the grid, these projects utilize solar generation to produce hydrogen through electrolysis for transportation, industrial, and energy applications.

Green hydrogen has the potential to complement traditional renewable energy systems by creating a fuel that can be stored, transported, and delivered directly to customers. As hydrogen infrastructure develops throughout California, new opportunities are emerging for transportation fleets, industrial users, and energy developers.

While technologies may evolve, the core objective remains unchanged: helping businesses gain greater control over their energy future.

The next generation of energy infrastructure will likely include a combination of solar generation, battery storage, electric vehicle charging, hydrogen production, and other emerging technologies. CitiGreen is actively evaluating and developing opportunities across these sectors as we continue to expand our capabilities.

The energy market is changing. CitiGreen intends to continue evolving with it.

Our commitment remains the same as it has always been: developing practical energy solutions that create long-term value for our customers, partners, and investors.
